Emilily is an 8-year-old girl who has just moved to Calm-in-County with her parents.

…it is likely that she won’t ever be bored at all because all the children say that a witch is living in the house on top of the hill. Right away, Emilily decides to enter the house. There, she meets Eglantine, an old wacky but lovely witch. Emilily, after much cajoling, convinces Eglantine to take her on as an apprentice. Together, they’ll interact with a talking cat, a butler ghost, dancing plants and above all, build a bridge between generations.
